Building a tagging taxonomy and applying tags to content and topics in the platform means you can utilize the Intellum platform's reporting tool to pull and export data related to your tag mappings and the items assigned to tags.

This article provides an overview of the report types associated with Tagging in the platform and provides a breakdown of the fields available to organize and filter tagging-related reports.

Report on Tag Mappings


A Tag Mappings report lets you pull data on the application of the tags within your tagging taxonomy. Create a tag mappings report to pull information like:

  • The date and time a tag mapping was created or updated
  • Which user created or updated a tag mapping
  • The platform ID of tagged activities or topics and tag relationships
  • If a tag is visible to learners for use in filtering search results

Follow these steps to create a new Tag Mapping report:

  1. Navigate to Reports in the admin nav panel.
  2. Click New Report.
  3. In the Report Type dropdown select Tag Mappings.
  4. Name your report and select Save to create the new report.

The example in the image above surfaces the platform IDs [Taxonomy Mappings Taxonomy Taggable ID], and surfaces the Tag Searchability [Taxonomy items is Hidden] setting of the content and topics assigned to specific Tags. The report is grouped by Tag Name [Taxonomy Items Name].

The following fields can be applied as columns or filters to customize a tag mappings reports:

  • Taxonomy mapping updated by
  • Taxonomy mapping created at
  • Taxonomy mapping updated at
  • Taxonomy mapping taxonomy taggable detailed type
  • Taxonomy mapping taxonomy taggable is a draft course
  • Taxonomy item code
  • Taxonomy item name
  • Taxonomy item is hidden
  • Taxonomy item parent item
  • Taxonomy item taxonomy category

Report on Tagging Library Items


A Tagging Library Items report lets you pull specific data on the groups and tags within your tagging taxonomy. Create a tagging library items report to pull information like:

  • The individual hex code of groups and tags in your tagging taxonomy
  • The type of taxonomy item (i.e. Group, Tag) and its relationships to other tagging taxonomy items

Follow these steps to create a new Tag Mapping report:

  1. Navigate to Reports in the admin nav panel.
  2. Click New Report.
  3. In the Report Type dropdown select Tagging Library Items.
  4. Name your report and select Save to create the new report.
