Integrate your Zoom account with the Intellum platform to be able to create Zoom webinars from within the platform and connect your users to live, in-person learning events.

This article provides an overview of the features of the Zoom integration and the platform setup required to integrate a Zoom account.


Before we get started, here are some important things to note:

  • The Integration is compatible with Zoom Pro, Business, and Enterprise
  • A Zoom admin account with both reporting and webinar permissions is required
  • Zoom webinar events created in the Intellum platform must be managed in the platform. Changes in Zoom will not sync back to Intellum.
  • Enrollments in Zoom webinar events in the Intellum platform must be managed in the platform. Changes in Zoom will not sync back to Intellum.

Features overview

The Intellum Platform integrates with Zoom Pro, Business, or Enterprise accounts and provides the following functionality in the platform:

  • Import events via CSV
  • Automatically creates Zoom webinars with in-platform Event setup
  • Logs users directly into a Zoom webinar without registration
  • Syncs event attendee lists between platforms
  • Integrated with platform Event reporting
  • Allows embed of a Zoom webinar in an activity page
  • Hosts nonconcurrent sessions (i.e. one session can happen at a time)


Connect Zoom to the Intellum platform

Unrestricted admin can integrate with Zoom by visiting the Zoom App Marketplace and installing the Intellum app. You'll need a Zoom admin login to proceed.

Heads Up!

We recommend logging into Intellum before installing the app. You are required to log in as an unrestricted admin to complete the authorization.

To connect Zoom to the Intellum platform, follow these steps:

  1. Find the Intellum app in Zoom's App Marketplace.
  2. Click Install to authorize the Zoom integration.
  3. Click Authorize to give Intellum access to your Zoom account.
  4. Sign in to your Intellum account by entering your account subdomain and selecting a host. Click Continue.

Once Zoom is integrated with Intellum, the Apps Settings page in Account Settings will reflect the authorization as pictured below.


Unrestricted admin can also integrate with Zoom through the Apps Settings page within Account Settings.

Follow these instructions to authorize Zoom from within the platform:

  1. Navigate to account Settings in the expanded admin navigation.
  2. Select the Apps tab on the account Settings page to access App Settings.
  3. Scroll to find the Zoom integration and click Authorize with Zoom.
  4. Sign into Zoom.
  5. You are returned to the Intellum platform, now authorized with Zoom.

Note: One Zoom account can be connected to one Intellum account at a time.


View Zoom webinars

You can access a list of your linked Zoom webinars or log out of your Zoom account by clicking on the Authorized button - as seen below:

Once connected, Intellum users that have permission to create events can choose to create Zoom webinars for events in the platform.


Remove the Intellum app

Disconnect your Zoom account from the Intellum platform by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to account Settings in the expanded admin navigation.
  2. Select the Apps tab on the account Settings page to access App Settings.
  3. Scroll to find the Zoom integration and click the Authorized button.
  4. Click Log Out at the top of the Zoom event listing.
Unrestricted Admin can remove the Zoom integration in the same place it was set up - via Account Settings in the Intellum Platform.
